It seems that we are having a bit of role-reversal.
Madison has consistently been sleeping throughout the night. Usually she starts eating around 8:30pm and fall asleep around 9-9:30pm and stays asleep until after 5:30am (last night she awoke at 3am, but that is not been the norm). We are ecstatic about this.
But, now it seems that Jacob is not sleeping through the night. He is waking up anywhere between 1 and 3 times a night…crying. Last night, he woke up about midnight and we walked back to his room and I stayed with him for about 10 minutes. Then he stayed down the rest of the night. Most of the times he wakes up about 12 midnight, 2am and sometimes at 4am also. We think that he is beginning to dream and is waking up from them. He says that he is scared when he wakes up…usually from the ‘big tractors’ or ‘Mr. Andy’s truck’ (our next door neighbor).
I told him last night that he should think of something good when he wakes up to try to go to sleep to…maybe that worked, who knows?!

Tell him to think of all the fun he will have when Aunt Jojo comes out!

Funny cuz that’s exactly what I told him last night. We were telling him to think of good things whenever he wakes up and that’s one that I threw out there.

It’s so hard when kids wake up in the night. It affects everybody the next day. It always takes Philip forever to get back to sleep. Maybe it will be short-lived.
