Former UA Standout, Lance Cormier, was reactivated by the Braves on May 18th, ironically against the team that traded him to the Braves, the Arizona Diamondbacks. He saw action in the game on Saturday night. He pitched 1 2/3 innings giving up 3 hits and 6 earned runs. That was more runs that he had given up all year to that point.

Also on Saturday, former UA Outfielder, Andy Phillips had the game winning hit for the New Your Yankees in their subway series versus the Mets. The Yankees appeared to be down and out to the Mets until the late innings and a blown save be Billy Wagner.

Lance Cormier, UA Pitcher from 1999-2002, was placed on the DL yesterday by the Atlanta Braves. It appears that he suffered a strained oblique muscle in a game last week against the New Your Mets. He has been Bobby Cox's most stable arm out of a shaky bullpen.
